"Early Day Present"

In our family it's not possible to wait until the appointed present opening time. So we've adopted the "Early Day Present" practice.

Here Aaron and Micah are enjoying a massive crane on Dec 22!!

I'm not sure who enjoyed the crane more, Micah or Aaron his dad.
On those cold, wintry days, a cat just has to find a nice, snuggly warm spot.

A Real Star

A nice moment during Micah's Christmas program at the Kingston Christian School. Yes, Virginia, there really is a Saviour, He is Christ the Lord.

Canada's Largest Theatre Organ -- In Kingston, Ontario

Jean and I went to a concert last night featuring Lance Luce (http://www.lanceluce.com/) playing Canada's Largest Theatre Organ (yes, kiddies, it's right here in Kingston, Ontario (http://www.ktos.ca/about.html). Both photos taken with my cell phone - not ideal -but "you get the picture").

Fall Vacation in Letchworth State Park

Letchworth State Park: here are just a few shots of the various falls and sites.

To properly explore this area, you'll need a week or more.

We spent a week there with John and Grace M. in mid-October.

What's this now?

If you check Aaron's blog you'll see the photo that Meghan took. I'm just taking her taking the shot.

It's a bit of a walk from parking lot to beach. But with Micah and Elizabeth labouring with the cooler, Oma carrying something and Aaron bravely leading the way, we manage.

Elizabeth's Stay with Oma & Opa

Elizabeth loves fruit. We had to cart in extra shipments of peaches and especially tangerines --they're easy to peal, and she discovered that most of them have 10 pieces (an amount that she verifies each time).

While Aaron & Meghan are staying in our trailer at Sandbanks Prov. Park, Elizabeth is staying with us. And what a joy it's been. This girl is full of energy and always devising new ways of having fun.

Micah & Opa's Adventure

Today, Micah and I went to visit his ENT specialist for a regular checkup.
We had a bit of a wait, so Micah proceeded to demonstrate how this chair could be controlled up or down by means of the foot pedal. He explained to me that the pedal had arrows on it for up and down, the pedal is "stuck" [connected?] to the chair, and that's how it works.

both pictures taken with my cell phone (which still has a pink hue in the middle of each shot)

Made By Meghan!

This was a gift that Meghan made for me -- and I cherish it and her. We have finally found a permanent sitting place for the clock, so I thought you'd want to see it. The best will be when you see it in person -- it does look much better than these photos portray.

Elizabeth Is a Great Helper

Elizabeth was over for Saturday, and she joined right in on the hard work. First she made the rounds through the front garden to see that all the plants were O.K.

Clearly, some plants needed a little watering

But the biggest job was getting the gravel and crusher dust in the little trailer for hauling over to her mom & dad's place.

A Job well done- she knew what needed to be done, and how to do it.

Stay Clear

On a recent geocaching expedition, we got a little too close to this mom's nest of babies. She was quite angry about it all, kicking up distracting fuss. Notice her crown feathers raised up.
