"I'm Thinking About It"

  During the "shoulder seasons", Jean and I get away for 1.5 days (2 sleeps) as often as we can (usually Sunday night and Monday).  From where we live now (Holland Marsh), there's a whole new world of camp grounds and sites within an hour or two.  Taken on the southern banks of Lake Ontario - Fourmile Creek SP.

On the Banks of the Mighty St. Lawrence River

For a few days near the end of the merry month of May, Jean and I found one of the best camp spots we've enjoyed in a very long time.  Right on the banks of the Mighty St. Lawrence River. A wonderful cooling breeze came off the river, no mosquitoes, well, you'll get the idea from the next few images.

35th Anniversary

Jean and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary today, June 14, 2010.
We did all sorts of things today -- mostly we just enjoyed sharing life and life's events.
For dinner went out and enjoyed some "starters" and dessert.
Mostly, we're just thankful for each other and our family.

We had an opportunity to enjoy dinner at Wayne and Carmen's home. We were in town to visit mom.

When Two Women Get Together ...

Elizabeth was over for an hour the other day. There was a new book with stickers and so on, that needed to be figured out. Beginning with the initial review and assessment, the following progression tells the story.

Jewellery For Jean

This was a great team effort. Rowan found the fossils and mailed them to Meghan who mounted and set them to produce this fine earring and necklace collection for Jean and then I took a picture. Full size version of this photo was sent to Rowan, Meghan and Jean.

Thanksgiving Hike

Meghan took this shot, while Micah was ahead with Cassidy the family dog.
Today we went for a nice fall hike. Later today we'll enjoy God's good gift of family and food with grateful hearts

Jean's Flower

What's cool about Jean's flower garden is the variety she has going there. From spring till fall there are different phases, colours, and plants/flowers that come into their glory.

Here you see a cactus blooming. That's fairly rare around these parts, I think.

It's a bit of a walk from parking lot to beach. But with Micah and Elizabeth labouring with the cooler, Oma carrying something and Aaron bravely leading the way, we manage.
