Jason Can Relax Anywhere, Anytime

Jason demonstrates the art of relaxing at any moment, at any time.

Visser Reunion Part Two: with Jason and Rowan

It always gets to be a bit weird when we get together. I took about a dozen photos -- this was the most serious.
Crazy, but wonderfully fun.

It's Grand Living so Close to the Grand River

We live a mere block from the Grand. It's wonderful. My dad and I will do some fishing there, soon. We agreed that upon my retirement, we'd go to the Grand and fish. Well, I've moved close to the Grand, and I'm very close to retirement -- just a bit over a year.

The Advantage of a Reunion

The thing was that our eve-troughs were clogged. I had bought a 21 foot ladder, but it was  Dylan Visser who had the youthful guts and fearlessness to "just get up there" and do the job. I remember being young once! Yup, there was a time when I would have easily climbed that ladder and impressed the young ladies.  But this one goes to Dylan.

What We Really Enjoy

The Best part is when many people are over having a good time.

Visser Family Reunion Part One 2014

It's a rare event when we can get this many Vissers together (and behaving).  This is part one. Part Two is a month later when Jason and Rowan visit Caledonia.

My Study at 38

It's been four years since I had access to my books.  Most of them, and the book shelves, were stored either at 1247 or, for the last year in 8, in the garage.  Now, finally, I have all my shelves and books and I can begin to rebuild my study. I have a wonderful view from the second story of our back yard.

Mourning Dove

Visiting Mourning Dove
One of the many things we love about our new home, is the wild life in our back yard. Rabbits, squirrels, Humming Birds, Finches -- all very nice. This Mourning Dove walked back and forth on our deck's railing.

We Love this Room

Our Family Room @ 38

Not a Dream Home, but a home where we're building memories and dreaming.

Our new house in Caledonia, Ontario. We hope to live here for a good, long while.

Fathers' Day @ the Koobs

Things Can Become Frightening
Any idea what Jude and I were looking at?

Thursday, June 19, 2014

We're saying goodbye to Tillsonburg, and Hello to Caledonia, Ontario.

That will put us very close to my dad, brother & family, my Uncle, and Jean's sister & family.
It also means begin able to call this house in Caledonia, Home, hopefully for good, long while. Finally, I'll have my study back, and all my books back on shelves (they've been in boxes in the garage for last while and at 1247 before that) -- I've not had access to them for close to 4 years.

There'll also be some changes for us. I'll not have work this summer, and we'll see what comes up for September.  It will be the first time (since being a young gaffer), that I'll not have work. But I'm welcoming the sabbath.  I really do need a rest.

The move to 38 actually takes place next week sometime.
