An Old Furnance

In our first home in Grand Rapids, the house had this old 'Octopus Furnance'. This old massive tree reminded me of that furnance.

Green Pastures

Jean & I spent a week camping in Watkins Glen State Park in New York (Oct 10-17). Every day was sunshine and clear skies (with the ocassional cloud as shown here). While Buffalo was being covered by 2' of snow, we experienced blue skies. The only day it rained was our driving home day, Oct 17.
The area is stunningly beautiful. Our new found sport of geocaching took us out each day and brought us to new hiking and exploring adventures.
