Inherited SnowBlower

I've been very thankful that I inherited this fabulous snowblower from my father-in-law. And with a few neighbours who don't have one, I've been able to help out.

Looks like we're about to inherit a snowblower as well. Question is, how many neighbors does one help out each time? I love helping out but always feel a little guilty about turning around and going home... any advice?

Guidelines:
-only do the immediate adjacent driveways of those w/o blowers
-in my case I'm too tall for my machine, so my back is "killing" me after 3 driveways
-if you want to go further then clear out only what the plow piles in driveways
-if you still have time go as far as one tank of gas will take you -- by then the morning is gone.
-I stick to doing 3 driveways, but for sure my immediate neighbour who has back trouble.

Ahaha .. It's funny I never thought about the consequences of suddenly having a snowblower. You save all this time thanks to the machine, but then end up re-investing the time helping others, sometimes out of guilt ? hehehehehehe, oh well, atleast the neighbors will like you a lot !!! (which is always a good thing!)

I think eventually for me it would get to the point of bringing over the snowblower to the neighbors and saying "here, do it yourself and bring it back after!" :)

Well, these are all fine points. But even when we didn't have a SB, we'd still help some neigbours the old fashioned way -- with a shovel!

Yeah you're right, helping your neighbor shovel snow is the Canadian Way ... :) (I actually enjoy shoveling, so it's all good)
