"Dream Home Series"
Late afternoon, after grabbing a couple of geocaches, this scene caught my eye. The home certainly qualifies for the "Dream Home Series" though it is quite different from the others.

"What A Mess!"
"End of the Line." |
A few hours later, when I reviewed the photos of the cart, I saw in this scene, a symbol of the outcome of so many lives today. Racing about, desperate for joy, love, acknowledgment ... going about from one place, experience, job, person, marriage, to the next -- shopping for life, hungry for something deep and lovely, but never quite getting it, or getting something that's close but nothing seems to satisfy.Yet the yearning for it, and the hope of getting it, drives one even more, convinced that this time I'll find it, this time I'll finally grab it, like the ass following a carrot, or as one person of old wrote, it's "a chasing after the wind" (Eccl. 2:11). End of the line, indeed. Let that not be your life. There is a much, much better way.

Dream Home Interior Series
This is the beginning of a "Dream Home Interior" Series. Figured that we might as well look at some fabulous Dream Home Rooms!

My Mom

A person in Christ, In anticipation of the Resurrection

On the Lord's Day, the first day of a new year, the Lord Jesus took mom into his care. Amazingly, unplanned by us, but through the Lord's precise planning and care, my dad, brother and family, Jean and I were drawn to be together with mom in her room at the Meadows. An hour after we all arrived, it became clear that the end was near. We stood around her in prayer, and by the time we said 'amen', she was gone. The end was a generous act of mercy for she had suffered much in the last while.
