Pure joy springing up from sorrow!
And for me, in addition to agreeing with what you've said, the image is one of resurrection: in the decay of things, a spore is planted and against all expectations, new life bursts up, shoving death aside. I'm always amazed at how strong mushrooms are even though they're soft and "fluffy"
