I found this photo somewhere, but I've not been able to figure out where (that is in which desert) it was taken. From other similar scenes I'm pretty sure it was in Mali, but that's just a guess.

The old Mercedes trucks that cross the desert are heavily loaded with peoples' bundles and jugs of water, not to mention the freight underneath. [taken in Agadez, Niger -ewv]
